Marie-Josée Lévesque

Founder of CARDIO LOFT and spinning, sup fitness, pilates and aerial tissue instructor

A seasoned circus artist and accomplished businesswoman, MARIE-JOSÉE LÉVESQUE began her athletic career at a very young age, as Quebec trampoline champion. But it was the circus that fascinated her above all else. Ever since her international debut with Cirque du Soleil, Marie-Josée had only one dream: to bring the circus arts out of the big top and into the real world, as close to the audience as possible.

With a career spanning over 30 years, including the last two decades at the helm of Cirque Fantastic, her own company, she has brilliantly achieved her dream. Marie-Josée continues to take on challenges with the same go-getter spirit and passion that have driven her since the beginning. Since 2013, the creation of multidisciplinary cruise shows has kept her very busy. In partnership with Celestyal Cruises, she has brought the magic of the circus to three cruise ships (the Crystal, the Olympia, and the Nefeli), sailing between Cuba, Jamaica, Greece, and Turkey, with no fewer than twelve different shows. https://celestyal.com/

In autumn/winter 2021, emerging from the pandemic with too much boundless energy to expend, Marie-Josée decided to take the plunge and realize a dream she’d had for at least 15 years. By buying a house on the banks of the Rivière du Nord in Val-David, she was able to transform it into a unique venue where she can not only create her shows, but also share her passion for hot yoga, spinning, dance, circus and SUP yoga. In short, all those exercises that have kept her fit, balanced and in harmony to pursue a career as a circus artist and producer while devoting herself to a family of four children! She’s more eager than ever to share her contagious passion for movement with you, to meet you and encourage you in your training at her brand-new company, CARDIO LOFT.

Nathalie Saintonge

Yoga instructor

Nathalie has been practising yoga since she was a teenager, captivated by its benefits for body and mind. Her passion was affirmed through 380 hours of training at Yoga Sangha with Sylvie Tremblay, then enriched by further training, including 150 hours with Eoin Finn of Blissology. She approaches each class as a celebration of the human being, with an authentic, joyful style, tinged with humor, where exchange and pleasure take center stage.

With her, sessions come to life between intense and gentle moments, often punctuated by an energetic soundtrack that accompanies each movement. Nathalie wants participants to explore yoga in all its depths, from postures to the most subtle sensations, finding their own path of alignment. For her, when the body aligns, the whole of life aligns, transforming every moment into an opportunity to live fully, far beyond the mat.

Guiding each student towards optimal alignment, Nathalie helps them to live their practice to the full, while respecting their individuality. For her, when the body is aligned, the whole of life is aligned, and each moment becomes a celebration far beyond the mat.

Martin Pelchat

Spinning instructor

For Martin, spinning has been a passion ever since a friend of his, a trainer who was starting up a new fitness center, introduced him to this form of training over 16 years ago. After several years of attending classes as a participant, he decided to take training programs in this discipline in order to become a trainer in his own right. As a result, he obtained Spinning® and Rockstar Spinning® trainer certifications from Mad Dogg Athletics, as well as indoor cycling instructor certification from Schwinn. Martin’s classes are carefully planned, and the various exercises follow the rhythm of carefully chosen upbeat music.

Celia Jimenez

Yoga instructor

Celia has been practicing yoga for over 15 years. In 2016, following her intuition, she did her training in India at Sattva Yoga Academy, 200h. This practice has totally changed the way she looks at her life and her own practice. She is passionate about sharing these teachings because she knows they can help people move towards a deeper understanding of themselves. Celia uses a holistic approach to yoga, teaching and including asanas, pranayamas, kriyas, meditation and movement. The guidance and wisdom that are generated in class help people find their own autonomy to cultivate the physical and mental strength to lead themselves on the path to healing.

Her training in India sparked a whole new space within her, the one that had always been there. These are powerful, radical teachings that help us connect in a fuller, deeper way. Celia’s classes are a fusion of vinyasa flow with kriya and pranayama intertwined within the class.

Celia also has her prenatal yoga training, 85h, from Sattva Yoga Academy in 2021. She is currently studying women’s herbalism and training as a birth doula.
